The tour covers all public transportation, the local round trip air flight, as well as 4x4 vehicle transport from La Palma to starting point of the trek, and then back from the end point to Puerto Jiménez harbor. Complete meal service is provided, with on-the-road snacks.  Lodging is covered for the eight nights at Puerto Jiménez, and a spacious, two-person tent is supplied. Carriers are assigned to handle visitors’ backpacks and luggage, and two fluent English-speaking guides accompany the group.

Each day’s hike covers points inside the Golfo Dulce Forest Reservation and the Corcovado National Park. The daily trek time is an average of 5 to 7 hours, with breaks every 45 minutes to rest and rehydrate while guides describe the surroundings’ special features. Camps are set up beforehand near creeks or rivers. Guides carry first-aid equipment, and have continuous cell-phone contact with a company representative at our office, thus ensuring that the trek will be carried out according to the highest possible touring standards.
